The Prez Has Spoken
For the past few months I have been working with a group of incredible volunteers planning what I think will be a fantastic reunion. We have booked a classy venue, made arrangements with an excellent caterer, and lined up some solid entertainment. It will be an evening to remember, and it is happening surprisingly soon.
I have heard from many of you that you are going to be there, but relatively few of you have purchased tickets. This isn't a problem by any means because we will be selling them at the door, but we have reached a point in the planning process where we require hard numbers. The catering company needs to know how many meals they will be preparing and we have to purchase all of the associated utensils and supplies. The JCC (our chosen venue) is only a viable option if attendance matches our projections, and based on the tickets that have been sold so far this doesn't appear to be the case. But I believe in our class and know that we can have a great reunion!
I need to know this week whether or not you are coming and if you will be bringing a guest. Perhaps most importantly, I need your answers to be as accurate as possible. The prospect of eating Little Caesar's pizza on the front lawn of East is not appealing to anyone, which is why we have planned something truly great. But it can't happen without more of you!
Purchasing your tickets online is an excellent way to let us know that you'll be there, but if you're buying yours at the door that's fine too. Please just let me know this week so that we can get things settled with the venue and our caterer.
Only four more days to purchase your reunion tickets for 38 dollars. Go to www.EastHighClassof98.com to purchase your tickets.
Congrats to Isaac Smith, who just recently got engaged! Go Smee!
In addition to the fabulous evening of dinner, dancing, and a few other surprises, Kimball High has graciously put together a morning of golf.
See you there,
Lauren
